-
Mark and Donna Chambers of Crestview, Florida had extensive damage
to their house from Hurricane Opal in 1995. Allstate refuses to pay
the claim and litigation drags on for years. Mark and Donna end up
having to settle out of court, and part of the settlement involved a
Confidentiality Statement. This web site is still up with information
about their case.
-
Don Thompson of Amarillo, Texas had damage to his house
due to water damage from a broken water line in the ceiling in 1991. Allstate
repeatedly denied the claim for years, even filing malicious charges against
the insured (later dismissed). A true saga, continuing on through July of
1999!
