NOW IS THE TIME FOR THE GOOD TO MAKE A STAND!

By Walt Morosco

I am not a lawyer but I can determine right and wrong. I once refer myself as an 'insurance victim' but no more, I am taking a stand against the tyranny claim reducing tactics of Allstate. I was inspired at the Supreme Court Justices have ruled that the RICO Act may be used by consumers against their insurance companies.  I believe I have an idea that will aid us in standing against a billion dollar giant. The idea is incredibly simple but will take hours of my time to correlate.

The idea is to recreate a national clearing house web site for collecting testimonies that reflect that Allstate uses an established pattern of duplicity in conduct.  In my opinion and observations I have read and heard the same stories over and over. Where they have used certain words and phrases as rehearsed dialogs to extort their customers into settling for less than what they owe them.

Did you notice when 20/20 caught the top head Allstate lawyer and Senior Vice President, Robert Pike,  in a lie and 20/20 quotes Allstate's response was to state that "it is a mere technicality . . . " Robert Pike had just told the world that Allstate was the victim and not the culprit. His transcript of his Chicago conference can be found at www.uwreport.com. When I read the Fortune magazine article by Richard Behar dated 10/30/95 on Pathfinder.com. I was surprised to find the same ' extort verbiage' or corporate propaganda expressed in print. Fortune reported on Allstate's pension ploy had quoted Allstate 'saying the matter involves a little more than "technicalities."' Again, when caught in breaking the law they use like or similar retorts that appeared to be part of their standards.

The preceding combined with reading Jim and Paula's web site; www.gemhound.com. And, the many other sites and links that express the thousands of people's whom are suffering by Allstate's  "Good hands" I found they use the same tactics repeatedly nationwide. Now they have moved into Canada. Canada has already a web site that is reporting on Allstate's misdeeds (www.cuconsumer.com) Why can they spread to Canada? The reason is, Americans cannot get the word out about Allstate. The media are non responsive to our needs. Our governments are only serving those corporate elite who can pad their campaign chests. All our stories can give us an united front and force government to ACT.
